Ellen Shapiro & Gretchen Hein
Namasté Yoga offers a broad spectrum of yoga classes, workshops, and events with instructors from varied yoga and professional backgrounds. Currently represented are Kripalu, Pranakriya, Iyengar, Viniyoga, Kundalini, Yoga for Kids & Babies/Toddlers, and more.
Namasté Yoga has daily classes, from morning through evening. Please check our current schedule at namaste-tallahassee.com for the most up-todate offerings.
All classes focus on integrating body, breath, mind, and spirit, while building strength, promoting self-awareness, and cultivating compassion. Our teachers encourage students to be guided by their own body intelligence and to adapt yoga poses to gain maximum benefit while staying safe and respectful of individual limits. We welcome beginners as well as experienced practitioners.
Namasté Yoga offers free/ donation Community Yoga class each Friday 5:30-6:45 pm. One-hour Gentle Yoga is followed by 15 minutes of live gong sound healing—an experience not to be missed! Our teachers practice seva (selfless service) by rotating through teaching this class as a gift to the community. We give 100% of donations to Refuge House. Students are encouraged to donate what they can, or feel free to attend at no charge.
Namasté Yoga hosts retreats and workshops with both local and nationally known presenters, and also offers occasional kirtan (chanting) and dance events that are free and open to the public.
The studio is available to host events, classes, and workshops. Please contact Ellen for details. Private yoga sessions are also available.
