Join a Council
Our councils fulfill extremely valuable roles for us to meet our goals.
Community Outreach Council
Identifies the marketing and community outreach needs of HAA and our members; plans membership development and implements recruitment and retention programs; collaborates with staff regarding member communication via the website, email and social media; provides input to the Board of Directors for member relations and makes recommendations for future involvement for members.
Identifies the educational needs and interests of our members; plans, executes, and evaluates educational programming through meetings, conferences, webinars, and other educational forums.
Assists with developing and maintaining the HAA Organizational Plan; ensures that membership is aware of current information regarding the Organization; serves as selection and approval committee for awards and new member applications.

To spread the word about HAA and our members, we often have a booth or vendor table at local events.
Being a community representative generally involves standing/sitting at our booth or vendor table at events, engaging in conversations with event attendees, and providing general information about HAA. It may also include help setting up are tearing down the booth or table. These volunteer positions can be one-time or on-going, based on your availability and willingness.
Who is this for?
These are great volunteer opportunities for people who love meeting and talking with a diversity of people, as well as those who are passionate about the mission of the Healing Arts Alliance.

Printed Directory Support
Our printed directory is produced once a year and distributed in the areas we serve.
Technology has made creating our printed directory much easier, compared to our early days, but it still requires a lot of attention to detail. That is where our printed directory support team comes in. Generally, this involves proofreading, editing, page layout, cover designs, and gathering appropriate information from members and advertisers.
Who is this for?
These are great volunteer opportunities for people who enjoy editing and seeing a finished physical product as a result of their efforts. It can also be a great experience for those who love connecting with local businesses.

Marketing is key to the sustainability and growth of our organization.
It could be said that non-profits need more marketing that for-profit businesses. As such, we always welcome assistance in this area. This could include things as simple as sharing our social media posts, or something as complex as creating videos or websites. These volunteer positions can be one-time or on-going, based on your availability and willingness.
Some of the common marketing roles are:
- reaching out to local businesses to become members or advertisers
- distributing our printed directories
- writing articles for our website
Who is this for?
These are great volunteer opportunities for people who have great communication skills (written or verbal) and want to make a positive impact while refining those skills. It can also be a great experience for those who love connecting with local businesses.
