The Scoop on Digestive Health with AARP Boomer Academy – August 18, 2018

About This Event

The AARP hosts bi-monthly programs on subjects of interest to the "Baby Boomer" generation.  Because active boomers take responsibility for their health care and value preventive practices, AARP's collaboration with the Healing Arts Alliance brought a large audience and had great response.

The Presenters:

Christine J. White, Nutrition Health Coach (Institute for Integrative Nutrition) and Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, shared practical advice around mindful eating to help your body make the most of the nutrients you provide it on a daily basis.

Dr. Craig Thomas, owner of Tallahassee Chinese Medicine and Community Acupuncture, shared dietary recommendations for optimal digestive health based on Chinese medical wisdom, by examining acupuncture, herbs, nutrition and lifestyle counseling.

Our audience feedback was very positive, including: "Rich program and skilled speakers; engaging and practical information"; "So excited with today’s subject"; "Excellent speakers, topic and location"; "EXCELLENT PRESENTATION!"

HAA wishes to thank AARP Director of Advocacy and Outreach, Leslie Spencer, for her energetic work on behalf of the community!
