>> Nia® Summer Series on Tuesdays June 19- July 31 (no class 7/3) <<

Nia® combines Dance, Martial Arts and Mindfulness, and it tunes into the needs of the body, mind and spirit. Classes are set to tribal, electronic, and rhythmic beats that ignite the spirit while making you sweat. Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that isolate, integrate, and condition the three main areas of the body: base, core, and upper extremities.

In this class expect to be challenged and also guided through an exhilarating movement experience that will increase the flexibility & mobility in your joints, will help you burn fat, and will also help you melt away your stress using relaxation techniques that enhance breathing and the flow of energy throughout your whole body.

Drop-in anytime for $10 a class

“Valerie always knows what I need. Nia® is the perfect combination of dance, stretching and strengthening. The playlist is rich, rhythmic and spiritual. I always feel amazing when I leave her class. I feel like I have transcended through the daily grind, in just an hour, into bliss! Nia® is both feminine and masculine, through graceful dance and strong martial arts. There is always a class focus that makes me aware of my body, so I am reminded not to take movement for granted. I also burn between 400-500 calories per class, that’s always a bonus!”

-Gaylon Barfield Shiver | Owner of The Carriage House Salon
