A description of our scheduled meeting for May 2013 follows: Integrative Health Coaching -- May 14, 2013 -- presented by Kathy Barnett What IS Integrative Health Coaching? If you haven’t heard of health coaches up till now, chances are you will much more in the future. Our healthcare system has largely failed when it comes to optimizing health, as the system is not set up to address the complex factors that drive health and lifestyle choices. Integrative health coaches have been dubbed “the missing link” in healthcare, partnering with individuals and groups to envision and achieve their health goals, and taking a holistic, whole-person, relationship- based approach toward managing disease and optimizing health. During this presentation, Kathy will discuss the process of health coaching, who can benefit, key research on the outcomes of health coaching, and do a brief demonstration of the health coaching process.
