Julya Rose Denholm DeMaria
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Mediator and Restorative Practice Facilitator
Julya Rose Denholm DeMaria teaches workshops in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and uses this same process for mediations and individual sessions. She is also a trained facilitator of Restorative Practices, in which the emphasis is around repairing the harm rather than seeking to punish. Both of these processes promote awareness of self and others, thereby fostering connection and empowering people to make healthier, more fulfilling life choices. Julya also teaches yoga in the Kripalu tradition with certifications in Prenatal and Restorative Yoga as well as Yoga Ed. She holds a BA in Dance and Choreography from Bard College in Annandale, NY, and she taught yoga classes and workshops for several years on staff at the Kripalu Institute of Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA, before moving back home to Tallahassee.
Julya is available for workshops, mediations, and restorative circle facilitation as well as yoga certification mentoring and private and group classes.
